As an experienced Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, long-time creative entrepreneur and CEO of Listening Pines, offering private sessions, mindfulness coaching, workshops and retreats for those seeking to deepen their creative and nature-based wellness practices.

Summer’s passion for helping people re-connect with their creativity and the More Than Human World lead her to a partnership with the Bear Creek Nature Center, in Colorado Springs, where she offers mindfulness workshops and monthly guided Shinrin-yoku Forest Bathing walks to the community.

Deeply inspired and empowered by the magic of the forest and her love for the wild, Summer specializes in sharing sacred healing tools rooted in kin-centric ecology, empathetic imagination and deep time remembrance to help anyone willing to slow down, drop-in and deeply listen.

For those traveling from afar:

The retreat grounds at Catamount Center for Environmental Science is located about 15 minutes southeast of Woodland Park, Colorado which is 30 minutes west of Colorado Springs and historic Manitou Springs located at the base of Pikes Peak and next-door to Garden of the Gods and Cave of the Winds.

Below are our recommendations for places to stay. Please let us know if you are interested in sharing accommodations with other guest or if you need help planning an extended stay. This area is a wonderful vacation destination!

Please note that we strongly encourage limiting our carbon footprint by carpooling to the retreat location. We will help coordinate any transportation and carpooling arrangements in the days leading up to our gathering.

Stay with Mary & Summer in a beautiful mountain home!

Comfort

This lovely 4 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps up to 10 people and features spectacular mountain views, a hot tub and easy access to hiking trails and plenty of open space to explore, including treehouses!
Community

Continue the connection with a post retreat gathering from 8pm to midnight. All participants are welcome!! Please note that there is plenty of space to refuge for any house guest seeking quietude that evening as well.
Convenience

Arrive the day before the retreat and depart the day after for an easy transition in and out of our sacred space. This property is located 2.5 miles from downtown Woodland Park and 17 miles from the retreat location.
